STUART LINNELL MBE, BA (Hons), DMA (Pt 1), HonMA Broadcaster & Media Consultant Award-winning broadcaster Stuart Linnell MBE has more than 35 years experience in radio and television, working for the BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, Setanta TV and for commercial radio stations in the UK and Ireland. In addition to his BA (Hons) degree, he also holds the Diploma in Municipal Administration (Part 1). He was appointed MBE in 1995 for services to broadcasting and he received an honorary Master of Arts degree from Coventry University in 1999 for services to broadcasting and to the community in Coventry and Warwickshire. Latest news about Stuart Linnell MBE: Stuart was the host for the Coventry & Warwickshire Olympic Hand-Over event, held in University Square in Coventry on Sunday 24th August 2008. Stuart linked between the live BBC coverage of the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Beijing, shown on a giant screen, and a series of events taking place in Coventry city centre. Stuart has also hosted Alstom's 7-a-side football tournament, held at Rugby Town Junior F.C., with teams from Alstom sites throughout Europe; the event included fucntions at both the Hinckley Island Hotel and the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Stuart runs 1st Principles Media Services, providing media training and advice as well as customer-facing media solutions and facilities.
