BBC
Local Radio Euro
Election Special 1999
The Euro Election results
programme, broadcast on all BBC local radio stations across the
Midlands, on
13th June 1999, was presented by Stuart Linnell. BBC WM
Managing Editor David Robey wrote:
"Just a brief
note to say how well I thought the programme went. It had real pace
with some very good guests and a real sense of tension building
as the various counts came in.
I thought Stuart's
presentation was perfect for the occasion - your confidence and
knowledge of the issues across the region, combined with your grasp
of the wider picture, gave it a very authoritative sound. Well done.
There was no time when things flagged.
Overall, an excellent
programme….well done and thanks."
